Pimp My Fish is no ordinary fish and chip van. Whether we’re catering at a wedding, at a festival, or just serving our street food at home in Cambridge, we take great pride in cooking our fish and chips to absolute perfection! To be eaten just as nature intended with salt and vinegar, or pimped up with our homemade sauces to give a creative twist to a British classic.
Fish & Chip Van - With A Twist
At PMF we love fish!
We cook until the batter is light and crunchy and the fish is succulent, tender and flaky. We serve twice cooked chips for an extra crunchy outside, yet soft and fluffy on the inside… just like us!
For a modern edge check out the now legendary Del Torro Burrito or our B.I.G Fish burger… it’s notoriously good! How you take it is up to you – classic, modern twist or pimped up, you choose amigos!
Vegan and Veggie
We offer halloumi instead of fish in The Del Torro and B.I.G burger, or you can have it simply griddled or battered. For our Vegan fish and chips we marinade banana blossom with seaweed, dill and lemon before battering for an off the scale vegan alternative!
Fish With Benefits
We fry all our produce in rapeseed oil which is low in saturated fats and high in polyunsaturated fats – it’s a great source of vitamin E too!!
The Secret Recipe
Our Saturday night curry sauce has been cooked in the Hudgell household on Saturday nights for over 20 years and remains so up to the present day. The secret recipe is currently held in a safety deposit box in the Cayman Islands and guarded by descendants of the Knights Templar… okay small exaggeration – but you get the gist, it’s special!
All of our fish is sourced responsibly from sustainable stocks and is MSC certified and always will be. We cook our fish to order so it doesn’t dry out, and we make all of our own sauces and mushy peas (except for Heinz Tommy K… there’s just no point!)

Our funky van is available to hire for parties, weddings, corporate events, festivals…in fact any kind of gathering where delicious food is required.
Our menus combine classic fish and chips with a pimped up modern twist so there’s something to suit everyone. We can also tailor a menu for your specific event needs and we cater for all allergens.
